24-HOUR TICKET CENTRAL ZONE

With this ticket you can enjoy unlimited use public transit for 24 hours withing the central zone of Salzburg. The ticket is valid from the time of its first use for 24 hours.
Therefore, your trip must come to an end before the 24-hour period is over (e.g. your ticket is valid from 1:17 p.m. on Wednesday to 1:16 p.m. on Thursday).

Additional fee for the first out of town regional zone

If you have already purchased a valid transit network ticket for the central zone of Salzburg, you can obtain a single ticket for the first adjacent regional zone for a small additional fee (Anif-Grödig, Bergheim, Elixhausen, Elsbethen, Freilassing, Fürstenbrunn, Guggenthal, Hallwang, Siezenheim and Wals). The reduced additional fee is only available for customers currently holding a reduced or minimum fare ticket.

The reduced additional fee is only valid with a valid reduced fare ticket.
The minimum additional fee is only valid with a valid minimum fare ticket.
For all others the additional fee is not price reduced.

The mimimum-fare ticket is available as an approximately 50 % reduced rate compared to the full-fare ticket. It is only available for specific target groups:

CHILDREN from 6 to 14 years are entitled to buy a minimum-fare ticket. A photo ID to prove the date of birth needs to be carried along and shown on request.

FAMILIES holding the Salzburger Familienpass are entitled to pay as follows:

Each adult registered in the Salzburger Familienpass is entitled to pay the minimum-fare, while accompanied and registered children can travel free of charge. The trip has to be taken together and on the same route. Alternatively to the Salzburger Familienpass, family passes or cards of other federal states of Austria are accepted.

DISABLED VETERANS holding a disabled veterans card are entitled to buy a minimum-tariff ticket. A companion and/or an assistance dog is/are permitted to accompany them free of charge.

VISUALLY IMPAIRED RIDERS with a handicapped ID (issued by the Austrian federal social assistance office) or a member ID of the Austrian visual impaired organization are entitled to buy a minimum-tariff ticket. A companion and/or an assistance dog is/are permitted to accompany them free of charge.

PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
– The degree of disablity needs to be at least 70% or above, to entitle the person for discounts.
– Owerns of a valid (temporary) ÖBB-ÖSTERREICHCARD Spezial are always entitled to pay the minimum-tariff.
– A companion and/or assistance dog can travel free of charge, if the disabled person holds an official handicapped ID stating the necessity of it.
– Holders of handicapped ID’s from other states will be accepted if they can show an official document holding equal information as an Austrian hanidcapped ID. This includes information such as first name, second name, adress, date of birth and a degree of disability of at least 70%.
– The Austrian handicapped ID according to §40 Bundesbehindertengesetz needs to hold the following note: „Der Inhaber/die Inhaberin des Passes kann die Fahrpreisermäßigung nach dem Bundesbehindertengesetz in Anspruch nehmen“ to entitle the owner of the handicapped ID to pay the minimum-fare.
– If a hanidcapped ID holds more than one form of disability, the one with highest degree of disability is the one counting for a possible discount.

Discount: Reduced-Fare

TEENAGERS from 15 to 18 years are entitled to pay for the “JugendCARD-fare”. It’s a seperate tariff but is equivalent to the reduced tariff, which itself is a discount of about 30 % compared from the full-fare.

SENIORS from 62 years on with a valid (temporary) ÖBB-VORTEILSCARD Senior or a valid (temporary) ÖSTERREICHCARD Senior are entitled to pay the reduced-fare.

Discount: Groups

CHILDREN AND TEENAGER GROUPS
are entitled for minimum-fare when at least ten accompanying and paying people travel on the same route. For a group of ten accompanying children or teenegers, two additional people can travel free of charge. If a group travels by regional bus the whole ticket price has to be paid by the person who is responsible for the group.

ADULT GROUPS unfortunately do not enjoy any kind of discounts. Depending on the personal needs a suitable ticket needs to be bought.

DAYTICKET REGION

A day ticket for the regional areas (out-of-town areas) is valid for unlimited usage of public transit on a given day, within the purchased, corresponding zone(s). This ticket is valid from the time of validation until 3:00 a.m. the following day (e.g. from 1:17 p.m. on Wednesday to 03:00 a.m. on Thursday).
